Bay Area Schools Insurance Cooperative
The Bay Area Schools Insurance Cooperative
(BASIC) was developed with the cooperative efforts of six California Joint Powers Authorities (JPA) and the brokerage firm of Wells Fargo Insurance Services during the 1997/98 school year. BASIC was formed with a commitment to providing low cost insurance coverages and quality risk management services to its members. On July 1, 1998, BASIC became a California joint powers authority providing liability and property coverages for California school districts and joint powers authorities.
